The Insect Trust

Psychedelic Folk-Jazz Fusion Group

The Insect Trust was an American band known for their eclectic blend of rock, jazz, folk, and blues. Formed in the late 1960s, the group consisted of members including writer and saxophonist Robert Palmer, guitarist Bill Barth, singer and multi-instrumentalist Nancy Jeffries, drummer Luke Faust, and bassist Trevor Koehler. Their self-titled debut album "The Insect Trust" was released in 1968, showcasing their unique fusion of various musical genres and their ability to create a distinctive psychedelic sound. They followed up with their second album "Hoboken Saturday Night" in 1970. The band's music was characterized by its improvisational style and the use of unconventional instruments. Despite their innovative approach to music, The Insect Trust was not commercially successful during their time but has since gained a cult following. They disbanded in the early 1970s after releasing just two albums.
