Telekinesis is the moniker for the indie rock solo project of Michael Benjamin Lerner, an American musician and songwriter. Lerner's music under the Telekinesis name is known for its melodic power pop and alternative rock sound. He debuted with the album "Telekinesis!" in 2009, which was produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie. Following his debut, Lerner released several more albums including "12 Desperate Straight Lines" in 2011, "Dormarion" in 2013, and "Ad Infinitum" in 2015. His work has been well-received by fans and critics alike for its catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics. Over the years, Lerner has toured extensively to support his releases, often playing most of the instruments on his recordings himself but performing with a full band during live shows.
