Swedish Chamber Choir

Swedish choir (formerly Simon Phipp's vocal ensemble) from Gothenburg. Conductor Simon Phipps formed Simon Phipps vocal ensemble in 1997 and ten years later the choir changed its name to the Swedish Chamber Choir. Recent years have been marked by a number of successes in both Swedish and international contexts. The choir won the Grand Prix, first prize in the vocal ensemble class and in the free class in the Florilège Vocal choir competition in Tours, France (2007) and was nominated by Rikskonserter for Choir of the Year 2006. In addition to a number of recordings for Swedish Radio P2, the choir has recorded several records.
