Steep Canyon Rangers are an American bluegrass band formed in 2000 in Brevard, North Carolina. The group initially came together while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their music is a blend of bluegrass, country, pop, and folk, often incorporating elements of Americana and progressive bluegrass. The band's lineup has evolved over the years, but it has consistently centered around a core of string musicians and vocalists.
