British-Indian jazz fusion percussionist and composer

Sarathy Korwar is a US-born, Indian-raised, and London-based drummer, composer, and bandleader whose work bridges the cultural heritage of his Indian roots with the jazz and electronic influences of his Western upbringing. He has been recognized for blending traditional Indian music with jazz and electronic sounds, creating a unique and contemporary cross-cultural fusion. His debut album "Day To Day," released in 2016 on Ninja Tune’s imprint The Steve Reid Foundation, incorporated field recordings of the Sidi community—African migrants in India—and received critical acclaim for its innovative approach to music.
