Northcore

Northcore was started by Carl in Melbourne, Australia. He wrote and released “rave chillout” music, similar to The Orb and Pete Namlook, but then graduated to trance, techno, and even some commercial dance. Carl was busiest in the Australian psychedelic trance/festival scene, playing Rainbow Serpent Festival, Earthcore, Fullmoon parties and releasing music with the companies linked to these festivals, and he also put on quite a few raves himself (with Our Tribe crew), including the Dark Forest series. Since moving to the UK and hooking up with Jana, Northcore has become a joint artist project which has really expanded on the collaborative side, writing music especially for events and specific media projects. They have written music and designed sound for websites, documentaries, short films, computer games, fashion shows, sport videos, and art installations. They also have a full length album recently finished and an ongoing contract with O3E/Spotted Peccary Records. When there is time, they play chillout gigs at outdoor festivals and indoor venues too.
