Renowned Violin Pedagogue and Performer

Mimi Zweig is not an artist, composer, or band known for producing albums titled "Piano Quintet (In G Minor Op.57) / Piano Trio No. 2 (In E Minor Op.67)." These works are actually compositions by Dmitri Shostakovich, a renowned Russian composer of the 20th century. Mimi Zweig, on the other hand, is a distinguished violin pedagogue and professor. She is recognized for her work in developing young violinists through her innovative teaching methods and is the founder and director of the String Academy of Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She also serves on the faculty at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music.
