Little Steven, also known as Steven Van Zandt, is an American musician, songwriter, producer, actor, and activist. He is best known as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, in which he plays guitar and mandolin. Beyond his work with Springsteen, Little Steven has had a successful solo career. He has released several albums under his own name and as Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul. His solo work often showcases his commitment to political activism and social commentary, which is evident in albums like "Voice Of America" (1984) and "Freedom No Compromise" (1987). In addition to his music career, Van Zandt has acted in television series such as "The Sopranos," where he played the character Silvio Dante, and in "Lilyhammer," where he starred as Frank Tagliano. His contributions to the music industry extend beyond performance to music education through his Rock and Roll Forever Foundation and its TeachRock initiative.
