Jarboe is an American singer-songwriter and musician, known for her eclectic and experimental approach to music. She came to prominence as a member of the influential experimental rock band Swans, with whom she performed and recorded from 1985 until the mid-1990s. After her tenure with Swans, Jarboe embarked on a solo career, where she continued to explore a wide range of musical styles, including gothic, ambient, folk, and avant-garde.
