Enisum is an atmospheric black metal band hailing from the Italian Alps, known for blending elements of black metal with ambient and folk influences. The project began as a solo endeavor by Lys, who is the primary member, and it has since evolved into a full band. Enisum is part of a subgenre often referred to as "blackgaze," which combines the harshness of black metal with the more ethereal qualities of shoegaze. The band's name itself is derived from the reverse spelling of the mountain peak "Musinè," which is located in their native region and serves as an inspiration for their music.
