Global Collective Fusing Congolese Rhythms with Experimental Rock

Congotronics International is not a single artist, composer, or band but rather a collective project that brings together various musicians from different backgrounds. The project is an extension of the Congotronics series, which was initiated by the Belgian record label Crammed Discs. The series itself became famous for introducing the world to the electrified traditional music of the Congo, particularly through bands like Konono N°1 and Kasai Allstars, who blend traditional Congolese rhythms with amplified likembes (thumb pianos) and other instruments.
