Chicory Tip was a British pop group that gained popularity in the early 1970s. They are best known for their 1972 hit "Son of My Father," which topped the UK Singles Chart. The song was notable for being one of the first UK number one singles to prominently feature a Moog synthesizer, marking a significant moment in the integration of electronic instruments into pop music. The band consisted of members Rick Foster, Brian Shearer, Rod Cloutt, Barry Mayger, and Peter Hewson.
