Big Time Rush, often abbreviated as BTR, is an American boy band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. The group was created for Nickelodeon's television series of the same name, which chronicled the fictional lives of the band members, who played versions of themselves. The band consisted of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr., and Logan Henderson. Their music career took off with the success of their show, leading to the release of their debut album "BTR" in 2010. The album was a commercial success and included singles like "Boyfriend" which featured Snoop Dogg. They followed up with their second studio album "Elevate" in 2011, which continued their pop success. Big Time Rush enjoyed significant popularity among pre-teens and teenagers, embarking on tours and having a strong presence on social media and various music platforms. After the series ended in 2013, the band went on hiatus but has since reunited for various performances and continues to have a dedicated fan base.
