Big Scenic Nowhere is a collaborative rock project that brings together a rotating cast of musicians from various bands within the stoner, desert, and psychedelic rock scenes. The band was formed by Bob Balch of Fu Manchu and Gary Arce of Yawning Man, two groups with significant influence in their respective genres. Big Scenic Nowhere's sound is characterized by expansive, atmospheric compositions that blend elements of heavy rock with more ambient and experimental textures. The project allows the members to explore musical territories beyond their mainstay bands, resulting in a fusion of styles and creative synergy among seasoned artists.
