British synth-pop musician

Andy Bell is an English musician primarily known as the bass guitarist for the alternative rock band Ride, which formed in 1988. Ride gained prominence during the shoegaze movement of the early 1990s with their dreamy, guitar-driven sound. After Ride's initial breakup in 1996, Bell went on to join the Britpop band Oasis as their bassist following the departure of founding member Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan. He remained with Oasis until their split in 2009 and subsequently became a member of Beady Eye, a group formed by former Oasis members.
