French Classical Organist

André Isoir (1935-2016) was a renowned French organist celebrated for his exceptional technique and interpretations, particularly of French Baroque and German Romantic organ music. His career was marked by numerous accolades, including three consecutive Grand Prix du Disque awards for his recordings of the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Isoir studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where he was a pupil of Rolande Falcinelli, and he won several international competitions, which helped to establish his reputation as a leading organist.
