Alexandra Bellamy

Classical oboist. She graduated from Queens College Oxford with a BA in Music in 1991 and went on to study the historical oboe with Sophia McKenna and Paul Goodwin (2) at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1995, she received the post of principal oboe with the European Union Baroque Orchestra. From 1999 to 2008, she was principal oboe of The Kings Consort. Since 1995, she has played with Florilegium and has regularly toured and recorded with Gabrieli Consort. She also worked for The Academy of Ancient Music, The Sixteen, The English Consort, London Baroque, Concerto Copenhagen, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and Ensemble 415. She is also a regular member of the Edinburgh based Dunedin Consort.
