Adel Salameh was a Palestinian oud player and composer known for his contributions to world music and his efforts to bridge cultural divides through music. Born in Nablus, Palestine, he began playing the oud, a traditional Middle Eastern lute-like instrument, at an early age. Salameh moved to Europe in the 1980s, where he continued to develop his musical career. He was recognized for blending Arabic music with other world music traditions, collaborating with artists from various backgrounds.
