A.A.L. (Against All Logic) is an alias of Nicolas Jaar, a Chilean-American composer and recording artist known for his experimental approach to electronic music. Under the A.A.L. moniker, Jaar explores more dancefloor-oriented sounds, blending elements of house and techno with soulful samples and a lo-fi aesthetic. The project gained significant attention with the release of the album "2012 - 2017" in February 2018, which was retrospectively acclaimed for its inventive use of samples and its fusion of various electronic genres. This album was followed by "Illusions Of Shameless Abundance," which further cemented A.A.L.'s reputation for pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
