Years & Years released their debut album Communion in 2015. The album was a huge success, reaching number one in the UK and selling over 1.5 million copies worldwide. The lead single from the album, the track "King", became a huge hit, reaching number one in the UK and number two in the US. Other singles from the album, such as "Shine" and "Eyes Shut", were also successful, reaching the top ten in the UK. The album's sound is a blend of electropop and synthpop and features collaborations with artists such as Tove Lo and MNEK.
