The first single from the album, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks and the second single from the album, "Love Will Save the Day", reached number two. The album has been certified platinum nine times by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide.
