The next release of the extremely successful Many Faces series on MusicBrokers with over 50,000 units (GfK), so far with only 5 titles ! Black Sabbath are, along with Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, the most important British hard rock band of all time. With their dark, mystical and obsessive sound, Black Sabbath have created their own brand that has influenced countless bands since their formation in the late 1960s until today. As shown in "The Many Faces" series, the listener is introduced to the fantastic and grand world of Black Sabbath. Forgotten collaborations, best songs and artists who influenced the band are revisited. CD1, entitled "The Players (and more)" highlights the musicians who were part of the band. It starts with none other than Tony Iommi, the founding guitarist and the only permanent member of all the formations. Tony is synonymous with Black Sabbath. Not forgetting to mention that CD1 also contains three more quality versions of classic Sabbath songs (Paranoid, Children Of The Grave and Hole In The Sky) performed by rock stars like Vince Neil (Motley Crue), George Lynch (Dokken) and California's Racer X and Agent Steel. CD2 is dedicated to the band's best songs, performed here by other artists from countries as diverse as the USA, Germany and Argentina. In a very special move, we have taken the liberty of recording three classic Ozzy Osbourne solo tracks (Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train and Bark At The Moon). These versions were recorded by the exceptional guitarists God Yngwie Malmsteen, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin's John Bonham) and others. And finally, CD3 - titled "The Legacy" - features 14 tracks of stoner rock, an underground genre that grew out of the sound of the original Black Sabbath, especially from the time of their 1970 debut "Black Sabbath" through to Sabotage in 1975. Bands like Freedom Hawk, Sasquatch and Isaak, among many others, bring here the sheer mystique and magic that we love about 21st century hard rock. Light a candle, fill a glass with your favorite beverage and enjoy this journey into the darkest corners of the Black Sabbath world!
