This compilation was first released in 2009 and features a selection of "Rock, Funk, Soul, Jazz & Soundtrack Breaks For Modern Living," which Mr. Thing is responsible for, as the program subtitle promises. In celebration of BBE's 20th anniversary, it is being reissued as a double LP. Mr Thing is a British producer and winner of various renowned DJ competitions. Above all, he is a vinyl maniac. Trained by years of rummaging through crates of records and naturally equipped with an inventive hand, he has compiled 18 obscure numbers of dance music from the 60s and 70s for the second edition of the "Strange Breaks & Mr Thing" series, which is planned for a total of five releases and should be more than unfamiliar to the average mortal. Which says nothing about the quality of the selection, quite the opposite! Ruby Andrews, Hot Butter, Roy Head, Hot City Bump Band, Tinga Stewart and Rias Orchestra are gems that have rightfully taken centre stage for the second time.
