To all those who like to think that Hannover has the charisma of a glass of lukewarm milk, I say: Agogo, one of Germany's most interesting brands, has been serving up such hot groove cocktails for years that you wouldn't really expect to find Hannover on Leine, but rather on Copacabana. If you don't believe it, the label's "Hits Agogo One" compilation is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the funky freestyle repertoire of Ralf Zitzmann, Mark Wetzler and Ralf Droesemeyer. The sampler features 13 of the most interesting tracks from 2014 and 2015, i.e. afro-jazz, soul, Latin-roove monster from Mo'Horizons, Funk Busters, Hidden Jazz Quartet, WDR Big Band & GT, Renegades Of Jazz, Stephan Abel Quartet and Gabriele Poso - to name just a few.
