An album with an all-star line-up British alternative and progressive rockers The Pineapple Thief return in 2016 with a new album. "Your Wilderness" is the follow-up to 2014's "Magnolia" and with only eight songs, it's almost a mini-album at first glance. But if you look or listen closer, you'll find that all of the songs are between 3:46 and 9:52 minutes long, which means an average length of about 5 minutes per song. So no one is missing out here. Unlike previous albums, The Pineapple Thief have invited a number of notable guests for the first time on "Your Wilderness". First and foremost, the party includes drummer Gavin Harrison, who some may already know through his membership in the band Porcupine Tree. For some of the clarinet parts, none other than John Helliwell of Supertramp was available. Geoffrey Richardson of the legendary Caravan contributed a string quartet that appeared on the album. Darran Charles of the Godsticks backed him on guitar. Last but not least, a four-piece choir provided backing vocals. The track Your Wilderness was produced entirely by the band, with the exception of the drum parts, which Harrison recorded in his own studio. With "No Man's Land", The Pineapple Thief introduced the first single from the new album. And it suggests that the band is staying true to itself musically despite the new lineup - to the delight of many fans. The Pineapple Thieves are back. With "Your Wilderness" they not only continue their work, but go even further - re-releasing The Pineapple Thief's successful 2016 album "Your Wilderness".
