"Sunday at the Village Vanguard" is a landmark jazz album by The Bill Evans Trio, recorded live on June 25, 1961, at the Village Vanguard in New York City. This album features the brilliant interplay between pianist Bill Evans, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian. Tragically, it would be the last recording with LaFaro, who died in a car accident just ten days after the performance.
