The most commercially successful and catchiest album celebrates its 25th anniversary in two lavish editions on LP and CD! For the celebrated third album, the band enlisted seventeen-year-old guitarist Richard Oaks, who replaced Bernard Butler on the tour for Dog Man Star. With keyboardist Neil Codling, they gained a fifth permanent member. The result was another number one album and five Top 10 singles. The catchy album full of catchy songs ("Trash", "Filmstar", "Beautiful Ones", "Picnic By The Motorway", "Saturday Night") became the band's most commercially successful album. The 1993 album of the same name was the fastest selling debut album in the UK to date. The following album "Dog Man Star" is considered the magnum opus of the band around singer Brett Anderson and guitarist Bernard Butler. In the UK alone, "Coming Up" managed five Top 10 singles, with three of them going straight to number one. A total of 14 singles reached the UK Top 20 and the wave of success carried across Europe to Japan. The albums from this Britpop institution are finally being released as remastered LPs, including a download card. The first four albums in particular are highly sought after among collectors, as only a small vinyl edition was produced when they were released in the 1990s. Copies in good condition are easily sold for €100 or more. "A New Morning" and the compilation "Sci-Fi Lullabies" were previously only included in a strictly limited 2013 LP box set and are now being released as standalone LPs for the first time!
