After more than two years, Stratovarius have finally broken their silence and released their eagerly awaited new studio album "Eternal". Alongside long-time members Kotipelt and Johansson, guitarist Mattias Kupianen (a prolific songwriter and producer), virtuoso bassist Lauri Porra and young talent Rolf Pilve, one of the best drummers of his generation, provide a distinctive sound. The band took an extraordinary amount of time for "Eternal" by their standards. "Since the release of 'Polaris', we've released a new studio album every two years," explains Jens Johansson. "But after the success and world tour for 'Nemesis' we collectively decided to take a short break. Tanned and refreshed, it's now damn time to get back in the ring. We've all been writing songs extensively over the last few months and of course only the best ones made it onto 'Eternal'."
