Stone Temple Pilots released their debut album Core in 1992. The album was a huge success, reaching number one on the Billboard charts and selling over eight million copies. The band's sound was a blend of hard rock and grunge, and their singles "Sex Type Thing" and "Plush" became hits. The album Core is considered a classic of the 1990s and helped establish Stone Temple Pilots as one of the biggest bands of the era.
