The ten tracks on the album "Confessions of the Fallen" deal with different sonic areas. The debut single "Lowest In Me" (currently at #2* on the active rock chart), "Cycle of Hurting", "Was Any of it Real?" and "Hate Me Too" surge forward with unrelenting fury, with electronics enhancing the musicians' frenetic assault. Tracks like "Out of Time," "In This Condition" and "The Fray" feature fluid arrangements and thrilling dynamic changes, while "Here and Now" and the cautiously upbeat "Better Days" remind us that Staind is no stranger to likability - when appropriate, of course. Lyrically, "Confessions of the Fallen" again draws on the dark, reflective corners Lewis has always included in Staind songs, yet these ten tracks are more personal than ever. "I'm still dealing with my issues," Aaron says. "And in the meantime, I dream of better times. I hope everyone feels that way now... Better times are yet to come."
