Rammstein will release an exclusive live album from Madison Square Garden in September!Rammstein has been one of Germany's best musical exports for years. The six-piece band, which began its musical journey in 1994, has sold millions of albums and singles worldwide to date, winning countless gold and platinum awards. But it is on the concert stage that Rammstein reaps the greatest admiration from its fans... Their live performances are full of pyrotechnic effects, obscene gestures, visual flourishes and, above all, energy. With every studio album they go on a major world tour, unfortunately they don't always manage to visit all the countries where they have a strong fan base. This is also the case in America, where Rammstein have established themselves as one of the few German-singing bands...So when it was announced that they would play a concert at Madison Square Garden on December 11, 2010, it only took fans thirty minutes to buy up all eighteen thousand tickets. The show that followed, during which Rammstein played eighteen songs, is considered by insiders to be one of the best of their career to date. It is therefore extremely gratifying that the aforementioned concert from the Big Apple was recorded in HD quality and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray at the end of September, but they wouldn't be Rammstein if they only included a concert film on the set entitled Rammstein in America. For both formats, a bonus disc of nearly two and a half hours of exclusive material will be included. It will be based on the Rammstein in Amerika documentary put together by acclaimed Austrian director and producer Hannes Rossacher. The two-hour film traces almost the entire history of the industrial band, and in addition to never-before-released interviews and footage from concerts and backstage, we will also see private visual material contributed by the band members themselves.But the documentary also features other musicians who speak out about the band (sometimes for the very first time). Some of those interviewed include Iggy Pop, Steven Tyler, Marilyn Manson, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Moby, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), John Dolmayan (System of A Down), Melissa Auf der Maur, James Shaffer (Korn) and Shawn Crahan (Slipknot).Another bonus feature will be a 20-minute documentary charting the making of their last full-length album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da, which took place in California in November and December 2008. It is unique in that it was filmed by one of the band members - guitarist Paul Landers.The Rammstein in America set is not just a concert recording with a few bonus features that would belong only in the collection of die-hard fans, it is the most compact recording from the tour for the last studio album, which also complements the most extensive documentary on this German band to date...
