Twenty years of Pearl Jam's existence was an anniversary the band and its millions of fans around the world wanted to celebrate thoroughly. In addition to a big "anniversary weekend concert" over Labor Day weekend at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, and a subsequent tour of Canada, fans of the iconic band were treated to the first full-length documentary about the band. Directed by award-winning filmmaker and music journalist Cameron Crowe ("Almost Famous," "Vanilla Sky," etc.), "Pearl Jam Twenty" features interviews and live recordings as well as extensive archival footage. A soundtrack album of the same name, "Pearl Jam Twenty", was released to accompany the film and contains all the songs (29!) that Crowe selected for the film.
