And while Trent Reznor and his ever-evolving collective have never been shy about wearing their musical influences proudly on their sleeves, they have equally inspired and influenced a host of newer artists themselves, with their trademark brand of industrial rock that has been their hallmark for nearly thirty years constantly evolving and reviving. The first DVD of this two-disc set features the classic NIN documentary, which recounts the dawn of industrial music in Britain in the mid-to-late 1970s and shows how its surprising evolution led to the emergence of a homegrown dance form of electronic-industrial sound in the United States in the mid-1980s - led by the mighty NIN. The program also documents NIN's remarkable career throughout their existence. Disc Two, meanwhile, features a series of filmed interviews with Trent Reznor, conducted across various periods of his professional history, during which the sonic pioneer explains his philosophy, impulses, goals, hopes and fears, creating a comprehensive and brutally honest picture of the man himself.
