On the album "Kicking Against The Pricks" Nick Cave devotes himself exclusively to cover versions. The repertoire chosen for this project has a considerable range: a wide variety of genres and musical eras are reinterpreted. However, it is always clear that Nick Cave loves and respects the originals, so classics like the Velvet Underground's "All Tomorrow's Parties" or Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe" are performed with great feeling. Nick's vinyl editions were long unavailable and traded as rarities. In October, the film "20,000 Days on Earth" will be released, which is in a sense (i.e., hyperbolically speaking) a documentary about the life and work of Nick Cave.
