It is widely regarded as one of the best touring bands in the world and has won numerous major music awards, including five MTV Europe Music Awards, six NME Awards and six Q Awards. They have twice been named Best British Touring Band at the BRIT Awards and have also been nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning the Grammy for Best Rock Album for The Resistance.
