The initiator of METAL ALLEGIANCE has managed to gather around him Dave Ellefson (MEGADETH), Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT) and Mike Portnoy (ex-DREAM THEATER, THE WINERY DOGS) and various top musicians known as members/former members of the bands behind the microphone and guitars: LAMB OF GOD, SLAYER, EXODUS, MASTODON, PANTERA, TRIVIUM, KINGS X, HATEBREED, SEPULTURA, MACHINE HEAD, ANTHRAX, LACUNA COIL, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, PERIPHERY, DEATH ANGEL, JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH and ARCH ENEMY have created a monster album. And how does it sound? It's incredibly multi-layered, and not just because of the many different vocal colors. There's everything from heavy to stoner to thrash, even progressive and modern tones. Yet "Metal Allegiance" doesn't sound like a sampler, but like a real album that couldn't be more homogeneous. An amazing opening act for METAL ALLEGIANCE, who are only live so far!
