Already on her last album Melanie showed herself as a true multitalent and released a video for each song, in which she took us into her fascinating world. In her new work, Melanie goes one step further: "K-12" is accompanied by a complete 90-minute feature film, which will be released in selected cinemas worldwide on September 5. In terms of content, K-12 picks up where Cry Baby left off. The film also stars Melanie as "Cry Baby," a strong and sensitive girl who is sent to a troubling boarding school that hides behind a glamorous facade. The film was shot last autumn in Budapest. "Cry Baby" debuted at #6 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 when it was first released in August 2015, and also reached #1 on the Top Alternative Albums chart. The album has garnered 2 billion streams.
