The RCA and Arista Albums Collection box set comprehensively presents his solo work from the 1970s and 1980s, released on RCA and Arista. The perfect 17-CD box set features 16 studio and live albums (most long out of print) from 1972 to 1986, including the celebrated and controversial Transformer, Berlin, Rock N Roll Animal, Metal Machine Music and The Blue Mask. The albums were remastered while still under the supervision of Lou Reed. This box set is a legacy of the unique shining light of rock history. 80-page hardcover booklet with memorabilia from Lou Reed's private archive, rare photographs and illustrations. Interviews conducted by Lou during his tenure at RCA and Arista and extensive liner notes written by Hal Willner - his longtime friend and co-producer of the collection - round out the set. The box set also includes a poster. This is a reprint of a rare RCA promotional poster, which measures approximately 59 x 57 cm when unfolded.
