"Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With", released in late 2002, was a song mini-album of mostly shorter tracks that served as a precursor to "The Power To Believe" (2002), just as "VROOOM" prefigured the mid-90s album "Thrak". Recorded a year earlier, "Level Five" (2001) was released as a tour CD and sold only to concertgoers. Limited editions were subsequently sold through the band's website and in Japan before the album went on sale in 2008. This live album features three lengthy instrumentals that have never been recorded before, as well as "The ConstruKction of Light" and "Deception Of The Thrush" and a bonus track that serves as a wonderful document of the live power of this lineup. Another example of the band's vibrant energy is "EleKtriK. After the release of "The Power To Believe", which was enthusiastically received by fans and critics alike, the band spent the next four months of 2003 on an extensive tour of the US, Japan and Europe. One of the concerts in Japan was filmed and released on DVD. Crimson were in top form and John Bungey of The Times called this concert the best since the band's return in 1994. Japanese fans demanded a live concert CD released on DVD, and EleKtriK (2003) was released as a stereo mix, first exclusively in Japan and later available worldwide.
