That the groundbreaking Quiet Life album was released between 1979 and 1980 is indicative of a band that was about to step out of the shadow of late 70s glam rock and post punk and deliver a hitherto genre-defying record that would later define the 80s. Quiet Life was the third, final and most successful release on the Hansa Records label. This album, which has become one of Britain's greatest classics, heralded the alternative sound and the new wave of the new decade. The album is now out in an excellent reissue with a brand new semi-fast remaster of the original Abbey Road album. The deluxe version also features alternate mixes, B-sides, singles, rarities and live material - including the lost March 1980 'Live at The Budokan' concert, previously only available as the four-track 'Live in Japan' EP. The release includes restored original album artwork, new liner notes with contributions from band members and the original producer, as well as rare, previously unseen photographs and memorabilia.
