The album Genesis : A Trick of the Tail, released in early 1976, is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Genesis . The album was recorded after the departure of lead singer Peter Gabriel and features Phil Collins on vocals. A Trick of the Tail is the first Genesis album to feature Collins as lead vocalist, and is considered a landmark album in the band's history. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and number 31 on the US Billboard 200. The lead single from the album, "Dance on a Volcano", was moderately successful, reaching number 41 on the UK Singles Chart. The second single from the album, "Los Endos", was less successful, reaching number 68 on the UK Singles Chart. The album A Trick of the Tail was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry and sold over one million copies in the UK. The album's title track, "A Trick of the Tail", was released as a promotional single in the US and reached number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. The third and final single from the album, "Follow You Follow Me", was released in 1978 and reached number six on the UK Singles Chart. A
