With producer Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Wire, Clinic, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds) they spent six weeks last autumn recording songs for their new CD 'Light At The End Of The World'. More than twenty years and twenty million albums sold later, they prove once again their creative vitality, musical influence and cultural relevance on this new album. "Light At The End Of The World" is one of their most mature and solid albums. And as always, it has created one of those rare collections where punk, electronica and disco continue to coexist in a very natural way. "We're a bizarre mix - which a lot of people don't understand. We're quite British and clearly working class; working class people who like to hear a good song in the pub. At the same time, we're quite eccentric. We're the British version of Sparks, Gilbert & George electronic pop. And we play by our own rules. This album proves that our kind of pop music is far from dead," declares Andy Bell. "It's proof that we still have it, that we can still write great songs," sums up ERASURE's timeless appeal.Early this summer, ERASURE will perform hits from the new album, as well as many of their classic songs, on a special U.S. tour. The first "True Colours Tour" with ERASURE, Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, Dresden Dolls, Misshapes and The Gossip kicks off June 8 in Las Vegas. An extensive tour of Germany is scheduled for October.
