The ENIGMA project will release a new album. It's been more than twenty-five years since the release of the first and breakthrough album of the German ENIGMA project. With the album MCMXC a.D. and especially the hit Sadeness (Part I), its founder, the exceptional composer and producer Michael Cretu started an era when choral music was combined with electronica. Twenty-five years on, the timeless music of this brilliant composer still has something to say, as evidenced by the new project Cretu has in store for us in the coming months... His new release, which will be the eighth in the ENIGMA discography, is titled The Fall Of A Rebel Angel and will be released on November 11th. The album will bring a total of twelve songs, on which we will also find some interesting guests. These include British alternative duo Aquilo, Brazilian singer-songwriter Mark Josher and three songs by Anggun, currently the best-selling Asian singer living in Asia. "I've tried to bring the spirit of Enigma in the beginning to today, but in a new musical language. This album tells the story of a symbolic journey to redemption - with each person defining their own path. The album tells the story of anyone and everyone. It represents both the beginning and eternity" Michael Cretu himself adds cryptically about his new album. For this project, he has enlisted the help of two of his colleagues - Grammy and Echo Award-winning composer Michael Kunze, who has translated the story into words, and Wolfgang Beltracchi, the controversial painter who not only designed the cover artwork, but also created an original drawing for each chapter of the new record, which will be featured in the extensive booklet...The ENIGMA project has sold more than seventy million albums worldwide to date, and with its seven albums released to date, has achieved dozens of number one albums on sales charts around the globe, earning more than one hundred platinum awards.
