The Marshall Mathers LP2 is the eighth studio album by American rapper Eminem , released on November 5, 2013 by Aftermath Entertainment, Shady Records and Interscope Records. The album serves as a follow-up to Eminem 's 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP. It was primarily produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, with additional production provided by Alex da Kid, Boi-1da, DJ Premier and Rick Rubin. The album features guest appearances by Skylar Grey, Rihanna, Nate Ruess and Kendrick Lamar. The album Marshall Mathers LP2 received universally positive reviews from music critics, who praised Eminem's technical rapping skills and the album's lyrical depth. The album was commercially successful, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and selling 792,000 copies in its first week. It became Eminem' seventh consecutive number one album in the United States and earned a double platinum record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album also reached number one on the charts in Canada and the United Kingdom.
