That's how their open-hearted anthems, which sounded at a time when cynicism and irony weren't yet prevalent themes in pop music, reach people. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros celebrate Summer Of Love on their debut, the opulent psychedelic folk-rock accompanied by choruses is haunting, anthemic, adventurous and inspiring, in short: "Up From Below" is a masterful debut. The rave reports coming in from the US about their concerts are overwhelmingly emotional and often leave a sea of tears of joy in their wake.
