The new bestofs from South Korean boy band BTS are a phenomenon. The South Korean boy band is not only one of the busiest, but also one of the most successful bands of its generation. The seven-member combo formed in 2010 and has released ten albums to date, five of which have reached number one in the US. Less than a year after their last album "Be", the Bangtan Boys are releasing a new album in 2021: "BTS, The Best". The title reveals that "new" doesn't quite apply here, as this is a collection of their greatest hits, surpassing all of the Japanese band's previous releases since 2017. The English-language single "Dynamite" from 2020 is included as a bonus track, among others. "BTS, The Best" is the band's third compilation album in Japanese. The album also features the single "Film Out", which was released in May 2021 and reached the Top 100 of the US and UK singles chart. The song was written by BTS member Jungkook together with Iyori Shimizu, lead singer of Japanese rock trio Back Number. "BTS, The Best" will be released in a standard edition and three limited editions. In addition to the CD, they also include a Blu-ray or DVD with video clips and making-of (including Japanese and English subtitles), photo books, stickers and a photo card of the boy band. The limited editions are packaged in a digipack with a slipcase. In 2017, the English meaning "Beyond The Scene" was also added. The boy group, which consists of seven members Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, RM, J-Hope and Jungkook, was founded in 2010 by South Korean company Big Hit Entertainment. In 2013, the group made their first public appearance. BTS's first album was released in 2014, followed by nine more studio albums and other compilations and EPs. Their music is a blend of K-pop, pop, hip-hop, R'n'B and EDM. Her lyrics, which often focus on personal and social commentary, deal with topics such as mental health, school and adolescence issues, loss, the road to self-love, and individualism. With more than 20 million albums sold on the Gaon Music Charts, BTS is the best-selling band in South Korea's history.
