His music is still present in all media and is encountered on radio, television, in commercials, on soundtracks or as samples in hip hop songs. Hits like Lovely Day, Use Me, Lean On Me and Ain't No Sunshine (which has over 350 cover versions) are testament to Withers' ability to create unique and commercially successful soul classics from a variety of influences. The catchy combination of R&B, folk, funk, soul and gospel performed by his fine voice has captivated millions of listeners. Thanks to them, this quirky soul singer and guitarist has become famous around the world, winning three Grammy Awards and a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Mobile Fidelity's 1981 reissue of Columbia Records' Greatest Hits contains a substantial compilation of his greatest hits. The superb sound quality of this pressing re-discovers Wither's beautiful and authentic music that hits all the senses with every listen. Mastering by Krieg Wunderlich and Rob LoVerde, the 33rpm version is released on 180g vinyl in a limited and numbered edition.
