Beck releases thirteenth album Colors!

The master of musical collage Beck is coming out with his thirteenth album Colors on October 13. This is the first full-length release of new material since his last album, 2014's Morning Phase, and holds the potential to take the scepter of the fall music season.

In addition to the new material, the album includes mixes of older singles. Among them are a psychedelically danceable remake of the summer hit Dancewhich has been described by the media as both incredibly contemporary and irresistibly vintage, and an insistent retro-futuristic song with a dash of wild funk and stellar pop Wow. The new material features lost 80s pop classics, rock guitars and experimental electronica. Colors was produced by Beck along with Greg Kurstin, who has worked with Sia, Ellie Goulding and the Foo Fighters in the past.

Beck is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and multiple Grammy winner. His music is a pop art blend of many styles, which also first made him famous in the 1990s. Beck himself describes it as alternative pop with elements of folk, psychedelia, hip hop, country, blues, R&B, funk, indie rock, noise rock, experimental rock, jazz and soul. It also features indirect ironic lyrics, postmodern arrangements and strange sound effects. He has been hailed by critics as one of the most creative musicians.
