When Tim Bergling died on April 20, 2018, the music for the new album was ninety percent complete. Tim left behind a rich collection of nearly completed songs, notes, email conversations, and text messages regarding the music he created. "He had a completely different playing style," Nedler explains. "His fingers would occasionally touch an unusual note, which gave his compositions a unique sound.
